Let freedom ring!

Am scris următorul eseu ca o provocare a Ambasadei SUA. Reprezintă ceea ce cred eu despre libertate si politica. 

  
What makes the American dream so irresistible is not money, power or success, although they are not bad to have – it’s the liberty to persuade them. It all starts with freedom, and someone dreaming about it.

I strongly believe in a Constitution based on the fundamental individual liberties and the Judeo-Christian inheritance that recognizes the eternal value of every single person, where “we, the people” gives sense to the state, government and institutions, as well as in a culture of absolute respect for life, dignity and property.

The Europe of freedom was born long time ago through opposition to the collectivism and despotism that ruled many nations. Surely, the U.S. has proven that a powerful state is a state of powerful individuals in this respect.

I also firmly advocate the rule of law and equality under it which condemns the guilty as the first line of defense for the innocent, and the freedom of press which makes even the most powerful tremble in the face of compromise. 

Lastly, freedom does not come free, it’s through the sacrifice of many heroes that we can even utter it. As George Washington said, “the American Christian would rather die on his feet than live on his knee”, likewise, we sing “Life in liberty or death” in our national anthem.

Although the Romania of freedom is young, we believe in its Euro-Atlantic pathway, its destiny as a model of democracy and prosperity. Together we must share a vision and accomplish a mission: freedom!

Domnul nu se uita la ce se uita omul. (1 Samuel 16:7)

     Nu a fost concurs de mister nici competiţie sportivă. Nu a fost admiterea la Calculatoare şi nici vreun concurs de cultură generală de genul “cine ştie, câştigă”, la unele capitole, David n-ar fi avut nici o şansă de reuşită.

     Nu ştiu dacă avea un “look” modern (sau postmodern), probabil că nu avea bani de teneşi AllStar şi nici părul întins cu placa, iar în ochii evlavioaselor fete din vecinătate, fermecate de un Eliab mereu zâmbitor cu statură impunătoare, energic şi plin de sine, David nici nu exista.

Psalmul 70:1  Grăbeşte, Dumnezeule, de mă izbăveşte! Grăbeşte de-mi ajută, Doamne! 5. .. Doamne nu zăbovi!

     De parcă Dumnezeu, muncind a şasea zi peste program s-a trezit în cea de a şaptea mahmur şi obosit, înca având mintea ocupată cu nu ştiu ce treburi nerezolvate prin galaxii şi în timp ce-şi bea cafeaua Îsi aduce aminte: “Ah, David! Iar am uitat de el. Astăzi chiar o să-i răspund.”
     EL ESTE. În trecut la fel ca şi în viitor. El nu se grăbeşte şi El nu poate întârzia, oricât ar “zăbovi”, pentru că El e deja acolo, înainte ca eu să stabilesc întâlnirea, mă aude înainte ca să deschid gura, mă iubeşte înainte să-L cunosc şi rosteşte sentinţa înainte să greşesc la fel cum rosteşte iertarea şi plăteşte preţul înainte să Îi cer asta. Atotputernic, omniprezent, omniscient, sfânt de trei ori, drept, plin de dragoste, milă şi îndurare, într-un cuvânt: perfect; tot ce face El e la timpul prezent. Un prezent continuu, un trecut prezent şi un viitor prezent care sfidează orice gramatică.

Nu privi inapoi

 Geneza 19:17  După ce i-au scos afară, unul din ei a zis: „Scapă-ţi viaţa; să nu te uiţi înapoi

Să nu priviţi înapoi! .. strigă îngerul către Lot şi către ai lui.

Ai lui erau doar nevasta şi cele două fete. Restul au rămas în Sodoma, vizionând Cronica Cârcotaşilor şi meciul serii în duplex pe acelaşi LCD. La auzul veştii că Dumnezeu va nimici cetatea au zâmbit respectuos şi au promis că vor ieşi afară la pauza de reclame.
